This small engine tachometer works in a variety of applications and envrioments. The tachometer works on 2 stroke and 4 stroke motors and displays the RPM and records the hours running. This tachometer is very easy to install and use, the included directions explain the simple configuration. The tachometer reads the engines rotations per minute by the use of the spark sensor cable that is wrapped around a spark plug cable on the motor.

This tachometer and hours meter is perfect for lawn equipment, boats, go carts, or any other application where a meter is not usually found factory installed.

The small engine tachometer is powered by a lithium-ion battery which has an average lifetime of 35000 hours. The tachometer can be operated in temperatures from 19F to 140F. Although this small engine tachometer can with stand a wide range of temperatures we strongly recommend attempting to have the tachometer stored in the most moderate temperature as possible.

Most of our customers use these tachometer / hours meters on lawn mowers, boats or other small engines that typically do not come with a stock tachometer or hours meter. The use of a hours meter with your small engine will assist in scheduling maintenance. This will lead to a longer lasting motor. Installing the small engine tachometer is very easy three step process. When installing the small engine tachometer be sure to choose a location that will reduce the chances of damage to the tachometer.

1. Mount  the tachometer / hours meter where the tachometer can be stored safely.
2. Bolt the ground wire to a grounding point on the boat, lawn mower or other craft with a motor.
3. Wrap the spark plug sensor wire around a spark plug cable.
